Doç. Dr. Bilge Şenyüz

Bilge Şenyüz is an associate professor at Marmara University. She graduated from Anadolu University, Journalism Department and completed her master’s and doctorate degree at Ankara University, Journalism Department. In 2017, she got her second master’s degree from the Science and Technology Policies Studies Program at METU. She stayed at Massachusetts University in Amherst, USA as a post-doctoral researcher for one year. In 2010, she attended summer school at Ljubljana University held by ECREA in Slovenia. Between 2005 and 2010, she worked as Press and Promotion Specialist at the Communication Department of the Chief of the General Staff. Then, she worked as a lecturer at Istanbul Arel University for two years, from 2010 to 2012, and, as a research assistant at Gazi University for six years, from 2012 to 2018. Currently, she holds some free workshops in collaboration with NGOs on mind-mapping and programming languages for journalists. Her academic interests focus on new media, digital journalism, robot journalism, programming languages for journalists, data visualization and new media ethics.
